Two Arrested After Encounter with Jim Wells County Deputies

Jim Wells County Deputies executed arrest warrants on Wednesday, December 11 and took two adult men into custody after they allegedly attempted to flee the location in a vehicle.

The two adult men, Genaro Garcia and Jeremiah Alaniz had warrants issued for them just days prior on December 9, following a “disturbance” in Orange Grove, according to the Jim Wells Co. Sheriff’s Department.

Both were arrested on charges of robbery and tampering with an electronic monitoring device. In addition to those charges, Garcia has also been charged with motion to revoke probation, and smuggling of persons.

Both men remain in custody at the Jim Wells County Jail. As of the publishing of this article, Alaniz had his bond set at $130,000, while Garcia is listed as not bondable with a sum of $330,000.
