The Alice Coyote varsity soccer team faced-off against the CC King Mustangs in a tight match yesterday evening. The game took place here in Alice and concluded with a score of 1-1.
The singular goal for the Alice Coyotes was scored by Alex Ramirez, a junior and defensive player. The goal was scored after his teammate Joseph Gaza performed a corner kick after the ball went out of bounds. The ball flew towards Ramirez who kicked it in at the end. Gaza is a junior and forward for the Alice Coyotes.
So far this season the district tally for the Alice Coyotes is 1-3-2. This puts them in sixth place currently, with around nine matches left in the regular season.
The Alice community can support the Coyotes at their next match on February 7 in Corpus Christi where they will play against the Moody High School Trojans.
