The Texas Department of Public Safety has recently announced that they are investigating a hit-and-run that occurred outside of Alice on HWY 359 near 3211.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:30 pm on Friday night, and a preliminary investigation has found that the 25 year old female victim was traveling southbound on 359, walking in and out of traffic.
A vehicle then struck the woman but the driver fled the scene and failed to render aid. The woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene before emergency services responded.
