Soccer fans in the Hub City will be excited to know that the new season for boys and girls soccer is starting soon.
Alice High School has four soccer teams in total; the boys and girls soccer programs each have a varsity and JV team. The Alice Coyotes are led this year by Head Coach Juan C. Rivadeneyra. The varsity team will have their first game on December 30 in Corpus, where they will play against Tuloso-Midway.
The Lady Coyotes are being led this year by Head Coach Abel R. Lopez. The Lady Coyotes varsity team will play against CC Carroll in Alice on Monday, January 6 for their first game of the season.
All four teams have been facing off against other schools in scrimmages for the past couple of weeks. The Lady Coyote JV and varsity teams will have their final scrimmage against Rockport-Fulton this Friday, December 20. While the Alice Coyote varsity team will face the Alice Alumni FC on Friday, December 27 in their final scrimmage of the season.
