REAL Inc. Breaks Ground on New Regional Headquarters

ALICE, Texas — REAL (Rural Economic Assistance League) Inc. broke ground on their new cutting-edge transportation facility yesterday that will improve and expand their services in the area.

The new facility, known as the REAL Regional Transportation Headquarters Operations & Maintenance Complex, will be constructed off of FM 1554 outside Alice. Company officials say the construction costs for the project is nearly $30 million, making this a major investment for the Alice community.

The new facility will allow REAL Inc. to better serve the community, especially elderly residents and individuals with disabilities. Many of these residents rely solely on REAL Transportation to get to their medical appointments and other critical services.

While many small towns have found it increasingly difficult to manage the rising tide of elderly poverty and hunger, REAL Inc. has spared Alice and the region from some of the harshest downturns. This new facility will allow them to continue in their efforts to address these widespread challenges facing rural communities.
