The Main St. Moon Market held another successful event last night, bringing together small businesses, artisans, and families to enjoy a beautiful evening under the stars.
The farmers market returns for the first Saturday of every month for half of the year, from March through December. The once-a-month event brings together various small business owners who offer a variety of products and services.
Since this market is held downtown and the streets are closed off, many permanent businesses there also benefited from the increase in foot traffic.
Not only do events like these drive people to downtown in greater numbers than a regular weekend, but they show us what kind of downtown we can have when the city and business owners collaborate to create beautiful, inviting, and safe public spaces.
If you missed this month’s Moon Market, you’ll have another chance on the first Saturday of April, which falls on April 5.
