The Alice Lady Coyote Basketball Team took the court last night, facing off against the Laredo Toros in a high-stakes bi-district showdown.
The Lady Coyotes delivered a performance that had Alice fans on the edge of their seats, defeating the Toros with a final score of 61-47, a comfortable margin for a bi-district championship match.
The Lady Coyotes will play against McAllen Memorial in the second round of playoffs on Friday, February 14. Members of the community who can’t travel to McAllen can support the Lady Coyotes at their sendoff tomorrow at 1:30 pm. The team’s school bus will depart from the front of Alice High School and travel down Main St. through downtown, until turning on HWY 281 Business to head south towards McAllen.
