The Lady Coyote Varsity Basketball Team faced-off against CC Veterans last night in a thrilling match. Both teams fought hard, but because of their teamwork and communication, the Lady Coyotes came out on top. The district game ended with a score of 50-42 for the Lady Coyotes.
The Lady Coyotes also recognized one of their own players before the game started. Alice High School Senior Kaylin Cervantes was honored for reaching a basketball career milestone. She reached 2000+ career points, a massive achievement for a committed basketball player.

Last night’s game was also a tribute to the late Ariel Lichtenberger, a young woman who used to play for the Lady Coyotes. The Alice Lady Coyote Basketball Team released a heartfelt statement following this game and Ariel’s memorial, “Tonight’s win wasn’t just a game—it was a tribute! This one’s for our #24 Ariel Lichtenberger, a former player who will forever be a part of our Lady Coyote Basketball Family.”

“The girls played their hearts out, channeling your spirit and strength every step of the way. This victory is in your honor, and your legacy continues to inspire us all. Ariel, this one’s for you,” the statement continued.
