The City of Alice has released their holiday trash pickup schedule for Winter 2024. Residents should prepare accordingly and keep an eye out for any changes to the schedule.
The week will start off normally, Alice residents can expect regular pickup on December 23 and December 24. No trash will be picked up on the following day, December 25 (Christmas Day). Normal trash pickup will resume on Thursday, December 26.
The landfill’s holiday schedule is a bit different than trash pickup. The landfill will be closed for three days, from December 24 through December 26. The recycling center will open all week, with the exception of December 25 (Christmas Day).
For the week of New Year’s, trash collection will take place as usual, with the exception of New Year’s Day. There will be no trash pickup on Wednesday, January 1. The regular pickup schedule will continue on Thursday, January 2.
Both the recycling center and landfill will be closed on New Year’s Day, but otherwise will be operating on a normal schedule.
