San Antonio Police Officer William Kasberg’s death was ruled a suicide this week, after authorities initially believed it was the result of an accidental weapons discharge.
The Rockport Police Department released a statement on December 12, confirming Officer Kasberg was the subject of an investigation involving a minor.
Kasberg was allegedly visiting Rockport on November 15 with his girlfriend and her family members, when one of her relatives discovered an invasive video recording of a minor relative and then contacted the Rockport Police Department.
According to the statement released by Rockport P.D., Kasberg agreed to speak with Rockport detectives about the investigation, “On December 9, 2024, detectives with the Rockport Police Department contacted Kasberg, who indicated he would agree to speak with detectives in person about our case at a later time.”
Rockport P.D. says their investigation is still ongoing, but refused to comment further on the matter.
