The Alice Coyote varsity team soundly defeated the Tuloso-Midway Warriors in the season opener with a final score of 5 to 3.
Score Breakdown
Joseph Gaza, a junior and forward on the varsity team scored one goal for the Alice Coyotes and forced an own-goal on Tuloso-Midway. His teammate, Ducky Godines, a senior and mid fielder scored another.
Tike Aguilera, also a senior and mid fielder for the Coyotes scored one goal for the team and had two assists. Another point was scored by Randall Torres, a junior and defender/mid fielder.
The Coyote defense held strong the entire night and successfully prevented the Warriors from catching up. Together with the rest of their teammates, these boys brought home the first win of the season.

You can see the Alice Coyote varsity soccer team play later this week at War at the Stable tournament in Ingleside, starting on January 2. Their first district game will be on Tuesday, January 7 in Alice against CC Carroll starting at 8 pm.
