Bobby Pulido sighting fuels speculation about future political campaign

ALICE, Texas — Legendary Tejano icon Bobby Pulido was recently spotted in Alice, where he was speaking with some local politicians ahead of what many sources say is a future announcement for political office.

According to a report back in January, Politico cites Democratic Party insider sources who claim Pulido is getting closer to announcing a run for Congress.

Bobby Pulido would presumably launch his campaign for Texas’ 15th Congressional District which much of Jim Wells County is part of. The district is currently held by Republican Monica De La Cruz, who has faced renewed criticism from local constituents for her voting record.

Pulido is described as a “moderate Democrat” by sources close to him, which Democratic Party officials believe will make him a good fit for the conservative-leaning district.

It remains to be seen if Bobby Pulido does decide to make his way into politics, but for now a decision has not been publicly announced. The Gazette will keep the community informed about the latest political developments as they happen.
