The Alice Coyotes put up a good effort tonight, but the opposition’s defense was too strong to overcome. The match ended in a draw, with each team finishing with a score of 1-1. This stalemate is a testament to how strong the defense was on both teams tonight.

The goal earned by the Coyotes in tonight’s game was scored by Ducky Godines, a senior and midfielder who Gazette readers will recognize as a frequent scorer for the Coyotes.

Although a tie is certainly better than a loss, the Coyotes left the field with much to contemplate. This game comes off the heels of their intense 2-1 victory against the Miller Bucs.

The team will have an opportunity to regroup tomorrow and assess tonight’s game, but this group of young men should be proud of how far they have come and remember that each setback presents an opportunity for improvement.

There’s little doubt that the Coyotes are capable of advancing this season, but they have to grow from each mistake and limit them in the future, or they risk being left behind by the competition.
